“Pheasant hunting at its finest” is the only way to describe this hunt.  Your hunts will be conducted on thousands of acres of prime habitat managed specifically for wild pheasant production. Bird numbers that will amaze even the most seasoned wingshooter are found daily. These wild, fast flying roosters will put your shooting skills to the test.

 

 

 

 

The hunting area consists of CRP, shelterbelts, milo, corn, sunflowers,

cattails, and native grasslands. The cover is picture perfect and sustains

a large, healthy, wild population of birds.

 

A good herd of whitetail deer is also resident to the area.  Combination

deer and pheasant hunts are available in November. 

 

 

 

 

 

Your Hunt

 

The pheasant hunting begins at 10:00 A.M. This is when the action starts. Your professional guide’s knowledge of the area will assist in organized, well executed, safe hunts that produce bag filling results. A kennel full of seasoned labs will add to the enjoyment and success of your hunt.

 

Evenings bring cocktail hour, hot showers, and a hearty dinner. You may relax and rest up for the next day’s hunt, or continue on with the adventures.   Waterfowl combos are available if the migrations is rolling. World class walleye fishing on Lake Sharpe is also available for those that are interested. Casino trips are also available on a nearby reservation.

Our comfortable lodge will house up to 12 hunters and is a great place to relax after a day of chasing roosters.  Excellent home cooked meals, large great room, and relaxing atmosphere will make your evenings enjoyable. We cater to groups of 2-16 hunters to maintain hunting quality and safety.

Our Hunts

Nomad Adventures is offering several hunts in South Dakota for fall 2011.  Starting in October and going through the end of December. The package includes a professionally guided hunt, three hearty homestyle meals, snacks and beverages, one night lodging, bird processing, shot shells, and transportation from the lodge to hunting and fishing sites and to the casino. Not included are your airfare, airport transportation, staff gratuities, license, and sales tax.
